Do you earn remote income from employers or clients outside Colombia?

Salaried remote work, freelance clients, and your own foreign business all count, as long as the employer, clients, or company are outside Colombia. Crypto income and transfers from your own savings generally do not.

Do you receive a lifetime pension (government or private)?

A lifetime pension from a government or private source — U.S. Social Security qualifies. Rental or investment income has its own question below.

Are you married to a Colombian citizen?
Are you in a registered permanent union with a Colombian (1+ year)?

In Colombia this means a formally declared union — a notarial deed (unión marital de hecho) registered for more than one year — not simply living together.

Are you the parent of a Colombian-by-birth child?
Do you have passive income (rent, dividends, annuities, interest)?

Income that arrives without active work — rents, dividends, annuities, or interest from a verifiable source. A lifetime pension has its own question above.
